Urea 46
It is a granular, white-colored, water-soluble fertilizer containing the highest amount of nitrogen among chemical fertilizers. When urea is applied in sufficient amounts, it positively affects flowering as well as root and stem development. By promoting the formation of green parts, it helps the plant benefit from sunlight, thus increasing yield. When applied in low amounts, plant growth slows down, and grain and fruit yield decreases. Urea should not be applied close to seeds and roots. It can be used during sowing in autumn and as a top-dressing fertilizer in spring. When used as a top-dressing fertilizer, it is beneficial to incorporate it into the soil with light tillage to prevent nitrogen loss from urea remaining on the soil surface.
